Alex Atkinson (née Davies) attended the University of Huddersfield from 2012 graduating in 2015 with an Upper Second Class Bachelor of Science with Honours in Podiatry. After graduating, she was employed for three years in a busy private practice working as part of a multi-disciplinary team before going self employed in 2018. She now splits her time between clinical work, care home work and home visits allowing her to continue the specialist skills required in each area.
In a clinical setting Alex is a specialist in Verruca Needling and Nail Surgery as well as prescribing custom moulded insoles. Alex’s husband is an advanced podiatrist and clinical team leader working within the NHS allowing her to have a unique position gaining knowledge of treatment pathways and clinicians working in this trust that she is able to refer into as appropriate. Outside of work she enjoys many sports including horse riding, badminton and rugby.
